I thought this was a very good and very powerful book. It's sad and graphic and contains very adult subject matter. I wish they had kept the UK title - "The Other Hand". I think it captures the dual nature of the book - the two narrators, the two sisters, the two people traveling on vacation, the two different choices they make regarding "the beach" (can't say more than that or I'll ruin it for you) and regarding their marriage. I'm going to put his first book on my "to read" list.
